Emma Deacon prosecutes and defends in all serious crime. She is regularly instructed as leading junior; she also appears alone, and is led by QCs in the most complex cases.
She has notable expertise in serious and complex fraud, corruption and misconduct, money laundering, and drugs conspiracies. She was formerly appointed to the Attorney General’s ‘A’ Panel of Prosecuting Advocates.
She has significant experience in cases involving regulatory offences. She has acted in numerous cases investigated by the MHRA, both prosecuting and defending.
She is regularly instructed by DBIS in cases involving fraudulent trading, breaches of director’s disqualification orders, and insolvency offences. She has also been instructed by the OFT.
