Guilty verdicts in MTIC trial
The final trial at Kingston Crown Court arising from HMRC’s investigation of an £80m MTIC fraud has ended with the conviction of all three defendants for conspiracy to cheat the Revenue. Two others had pleaded guilty.
Michael Brompton QC, Robert O’Sullivan QC and Robert Dalling appeared for the prosecution. Stephen Hopper acted as disclosure counsel, and is currently instructed in confiscation proceedings.
