Ian Wade QC wins important costs appeal

Ian Wade QC appeared for the Appellant in the recent Court of Appeal case R v Applied Language Solutions Ltd [2013] EWCA Crim 326 which concerns the making of a third party costs order against the private provider of court interpreters.  Ian persuaded the Court that the adverse order made by the Crown Court should be quashed.  In the reserved judgment, the President of the Queen's Bench Division (Sir John Thomas) gave guidance on the meaning of "serious misconduct" in section 19B of the Prosecution of Offences Act 1985 and how it should be applied in this context.
