Ponzi fraudster sentenced

Michael Brompton QC and Michael Hick (instructed by the Financial Conduct Authority) appeared for the Crown in the case of Benjamin Wilson, who pleaded guilty to offences of fraud, forgery and contravention of the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000, in relation to a £21 million Ponzi Scheme operated by him in the name of Sure Investment. He was sentenced to 7 years' imprisonment by His Honour Judge Grieve QC at Southwark Crown Court.
