Former Stoke Mandeville Hospital Doctor Convicted of Sexual Offences

Michael Salmon, a Doctor who formerly worked at Stoke Mandeville Hospital, has been convicted of two counts of rape and nine counts of indecent assault, following a trial at Reading Crown Court in which Miranda Moore QC appeared for the prosecution. 

Dr Salmon, 79, was arrested as part of Operation Yewtree. He was a consultant paediatrician who worked at Stoke Mandeville Hopsital, near Aylesbury. The offences were committed against  female patients who were under his care during the late 1970s and 1980s.

The convictions have been reported by numerous media organisations, including BBC News and The Independent. Dr Salmon will be sentenced on 12th February.
