Alan Richards becomes Senior Crown Counsel with Bermuda DPP

Alan Richards has been appointed as the Senior Crown Counsel (Specialist) in the Bermuda Department of Public Prosecutions. Alan has been working in the British Overseas Territory as a Consultant since March 2015, but now assumes a new role, managing one of the three teams of counsel within the Department. In the last 18 months Alan has appeared before all three levels of the local courts: Magistrates' Court, Supreme Court and Court of Appeal. 

Building on his extensive POCA experience in the UK, Alan now leads a team of five lawyers specialising in asset forfeiture, mutual legal assistance and extradition. He was admitted as a Barrister & Attorney of the Supreme Court of Bermuda on Friday 20th March 2015.

Due to his appointment Alan will be unavailable for instruction in the UK until further notice.
