Matthew Moseley jailed for murder he tried to blame on 14-year-old son

Robert O’Sullivan QC, instructed by CPS Lancashire through Exchange Chambers, secured the conviction after trial of Matthew Moseley for murder in Preston CC. The defendant was sentenced to life with a minimum term of 26 years. Throughout he had blamed his 14 year old son for the shooting and had sought to manipulate him into accepting responsibility. Initially the boy did confess to the crime before retracting. He gave evidence at trial for the prosecution.
