Kate Parker secures an acquittal of defendant accused of attempted burglary of a church

Kate Parker, instructed by Elena Papamichael at Hodge Jones & Allen, secured an acquittal for a client standing trial at Isleworth Crown Court for attempted burglary of a church and going equipped for burglary. On the day of trial, Kate successfully resisted the Crown’s bad character application in relation to the client’s 8 convictions for 10 offences of church burglaries. Kate then successfully applied to exclude the DNA evidence, the only remaining evidence in the case, under section 78 PACE. The Crown offered no evidence on both counts.
