Chambers has a long standing reputation of offering a breadth of expertise in this particularly sensitive area of practice.

Members have appeared before all levels of tribunal in cases involving multiple abuse allegations with both adult and child complainants. A number of members of chambers are recognised by the CPS as specially qualified to prosecute rape cases. Our silks have vast experience of both prosecuting and defending in the most serious and complex multiple victim cases. We are often asked to advise before charge. Members of chambers have been involved in operation Yewtree cases.
This area of crime overlaps with a need to be up to date with forensic analysis techniques, medical procedures and techniques for the successful presentation of evidence.

Our expertise in obtaining disclosure from third parties that hold relevant records, enables us to present our clients case with the maximum information. All members of chambers are suitably trained, particularly relating to the treatment of vulnerable witnesses, including the use of intermediaries.

Members have experience with not only child victims and defendants but complainants with Down’s Syndrome, pre senile dementia, stroke induce impairment and learning difficulties.
